Trimming and Chipping
What happens to the brush generated from a lot clearing or tree thinning project
makes a difference. In some cases, a few branches can be efficiently hauled off of a
bermed landscape after a hazard tree removal, and in other cases a great deal of
brush may be generated from a larger fuel wood reduction project for example.
Trees R Us owns equipment and has the trained operators to reduce bulky
fire-prone and unsightly brush into compact wood chips. Chips can be removed by
truck or broadcast on site, depending on the project.
In all cases it is a consideration and a trade-off between the benefits and
consequences of brush pile burning. More and more it is
becoming common practice to avoid burning brush piles when and where feasible,
to reduce the amount of smoke in the atmosphere, reduce fire risks and recover
byproduct.
